The construction and development path of geriatric medicine courses in medical colleges and universities

AbstractWith the deepening of global population aging，health problems such as high incidence of chronic diseases， coexistence ofmultiple diseases，and functionaldecline among theelderly populationare becoming increasinglycomplex， andthere is an urgent need for specializedand comprehensive geriatric medical services.As the cradle ofmedicaltalent cultivation，medical coleges undertake the misson of building a geriatric medical education system and cultivating professional service teams.The construction of geriatric medicine courses is not onlyan important means to optimize the layout of medical education disciplines and promote innovation in clinical medical education models，but also an important link to connect the health service needs of an aging society and build a health management system.
