Research on Determination of Total Residues of Prochloraz and Its Metabolites in Ginger by Gas Chromatography-Triple Quadrupole Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract: Objective: To establish a method for determining the total residues of prochloraz and its metabolites inginger using gas chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry. Method: The target analytes in ginger were extracted with acidified acetonitrile. Under the condition of 220°C air bath, the target analytes were reacted with pyridine hydrochloride to promote the complete conversion of prochloraz and its metabolites into the secondarymetabolite2,4,6-trichlorophenol.After purifcation withconcentrated sulfuricacid,thedetermination was performed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in multiple reaction monitoring mode,and the measured value was converted into theresidualamountof prochloraz.Result: Under theoptimizedconditions,2,4,6-trichlorophenol showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.1~2.0μg?mL-1. ,with a correlation coefficient of 0.9996 At the three spiked concentration levels of O.05, 0.20,and 0.50mg.kg-1 , the recoveries of prochloraz were 82.3% 0 91.0% and 96.1% respectively,with relative standard deviations of 6.1% 2.6% and 5.0% respectively. The limit of quantitation of prochloraz in ginger was 0.007 6mg?kg-1 . Conclusion: This method is rapid, simple,and easy to operate,and can meet the requirements for the detection of prochloraz and its metabolite residues in large quantities of ginger.
