Application and Challenges of Blockchain Technology in Food Safety Traceability System

Abstract： With the increasinglysevere food safety problem，blockchain technology，asan inovative technical means，has been widely used in food safety traceability system.The combination of smartcontracts，decentralized storage，and IoT technologies can efectively improve the transparencyand efficiency of the traceability process. However，the applicationofblockchain in this field faceschallnges such as throughput，privacyprotection，crosschain interoperability，and legal regulation. Based on this，this paper proposes optimization strategies such as enhancing system scalability，innovating privacyprotection technologies，promoting cross-chain technology，and improving the legal framework for reference.
