[Abstract] Public physical education isoneof thecompulsory course in universities. Integrating currculum ideological and political education into the design and practice of public physical education courses is of great significance for optimizing theuniversity physical education teaching systemand promoting the integrationofLide Shuren throughout the entire physical education proces.This paper takes the practice of curiculum ideological and political education within public physical education courses inuniversities from the perspective of curriculum ideological and political educationas its research object.It elaborates on the meaning，value，design strategies，and teaching practices of implementing curiculum ideological and political education in public physical education courses.The research contends that university public physical education courses should develop curriculum ideologicaland political design strategies through aspects of unifying teaching concepts，meting teaching principles，and integrating ideological and political elements into teaching content; Through the design of teaching objectives，teaching content，selectionof teaching methods，andevaluationofteachingeffectiveness，theintegrationofideologicalandpoliticalelements isimproved，and the ideologicaland political educationvalueof physical education courses is efectively utilized toenhance theteaching quality and educational effectiveness of public physical education courses.
