Abstract： The practice course mode of "Military Grassroots Political Work" oriented by exploring ability goal is not only to implement the thought of strengthening the army and the requirements of the new outline， but also to improve the ability and quality of the students' political work and promote the generation of combat effectiveness. Based on the concept of OBE education， centered on the curriculum syllabus， centered on students， guided by ability goals， centered on the Party branch， guided by the actual needs of grassroots troops， and targeted at the actual political work， this paper explores and designs the practical course mode of "Military grassroots Political Work"， and further optimizes the system structure， teaching strategy and evaluation scheme. Through the evaluation and survey of students' political work ability for two consecutive years， the exploration mode is improved by 15.35% compared with the traditional mode， which provides ideas for the innovation of political theory practical course teaching mode in military academies in the new era.
