Abstract: The purpose of this study is to preliminarily help nursing freshmen establish a sense of professional identity and strengthen their professional cognition. Select 2023 nursing freshmen and incorporate BOPPPS teaching method and ideological and political education into the first three chapters of Introduction to Nursing, aiming to guide students to have a preliminary understanding of their profession and establish professional identity. We collect data using the "Survey Questionnaire on Professional Identity of Nursing Students" before and after the study, and conduct statistical analysis. The results showed that all items had improved scores before and after the survey, except for three items with no statistical difference before and after, all others had differences. Nursing students have a sense of social responsibility, improved their sense of professional identity and satisfaction. The humanistic sentiment of putting people first and taking initiative is an important factor for students to actively recognize their profession.
