Abstract：Thecuriculumideologicalandpoliticalconstructionisanimportantmeasuretoimplementthefundamentaltask ofcultivatingpeopleofmoralcharacter.Thecharacteristicsofrockmechanicscourseare：complexresearchobjects，extensive researchcontents，closeconnectionwithengineering practice，andvigorousdevelopmentofnewtheoriesandnewtechnologies. Accordingtothecuriculumcharacteristcsoftherockmechanics，eightideologicalandpolialelementsintherockechanics coursewereexcavated：integratingthebasicprinciplesofMarxism，cultivatingthenationalprideandpatriotism，cultivatingthe senseof professonalhonorandfelingsoffamilyandcountry，cultivatingthecraftsmanspiritofbearinghardshipsandstanding hardworkandstrivingforexcelence，enhancingthesystemconfidenceofsocialismwithChinesecharacteristics，cultivatingthe professionalresponsibilityandengineringethics，cultivatingtheawarenessofenvironmentalprotectionandsustainable development，andguidingstudentstoestablishthecorectoutlookonlifeandvalues.Teachersmayintegratetheseideological andpoliticalelementsintheclasroom teaching，soastoachievetheorganicunityofteachingandeducatingpeople，andrealize the purpose of cultivating people of moral character and cultivating talents for the country.
