【Abstract】This article aims at the problem that the flange parts of theautomotive reducer housing are prone to failureundercomplexloads.Combinedwiththedamagefactortheoryand stressanalysismethod,thefiniteelement numerical simulation technologyisadoptedto conduct asystematic studyon its damage mechanism and stress distribution.Byestablishing thedamage factormodelandthe stressanalysis model,the stressconcentrationareasand damageaccumulation lawsof the parts under diferent working conditionsare simulated.Theresultsshow thattherootof theprotruding edgeisthekeydamage area,withthedamage factorreachingup to2.57,approachingthefatigue limitof the material.Undertheactionofforming load,thestresspeak at theconvex arcontheoutsideof theconnection joint reaches53oMPa,whichissignificantlyhigherthantheyield strengthof thematerial.Theresearchadopts high-strength materials to optimize the flange structure design andadjusts the geometric parameters to reduce stress concentration.The ffectiveessofnumericalsimulationtechnologyinpredictingthefailureriskofpartsandoptimizingdesignisverified, providing theoretical supportandengineering practiceguidanceforimprovingthereliabilityofautomotivetransmission systems.
