【Abstract】Basedon the design requirements of thebus driveaxle,this article elaborates on the current technical statusanddevelopmenttrendof thedriveaxle,anduses the finite element analysis tolANSYSWorkbench to conduct mechanicalanalysisonthegear pairs inthedrive axle,mainlyanalyzingthe stressclouddiagrams of thehighandlow speed gear pairs underdiferent working conditions.The analysis results show thatthe maximum contactstress value of the high-speedgear pairis169.46MPaandthatof thelow-speed gearpairis 600.69MPa.Referring totherequirements ofthedriveaxledesigncode,itisless thantheyieldlimitofthematerial.Then,basedontherequirementsofthedrive axledesigncode,verifythat the designandmaterialsof the driveaxlearereasonable toensurethereliableuse of the drive axle.
