Abstract This study explores the current application status and innovative application methods of artificial intelligence tools inthe teaching ofmaterialssciencemajors inuniversities.Withtherapiddevelopmentof artificial intellgence，itsapplication in the field of materials science is becoming increasingly widespread，which not only promote innovation in material design and manufacturing，but also provides new ideas for the innovation of teaching methods. The article takes the artificial inteligence tools DeepSeek and ChatGPTas the research objects，and explores the technical path of building interdisiplinary fusion learning basedon artificial intellgence tools by systematically analyzing thecurrent application practice of artificial intelligence in materials sience majors in universities.The research aims to achieve a deep integration of artificial intelligence and professional knowledge systems，forming innovative educational and teaching models.
