[Abstract] Basedonthe teaching practiceandabilitycultivation needs oforientering，this paper makes a deepanalysis of the contents of map navigation that is compatible with orienteering teachingactivities in terms of map perspective conversion，spatiotemporal perception training，path selection strategy，reference object selection strategy，proces management and safety management thinking.The research shows that the inovative application of map navigation softwarein directional teachingis helpful to enhance learners'interest，lower thethreshold forlearningand teaching， strengthenlearners'self-learningabilityandultimatelycultivategooddirectionalsports thinkingabiltyandprofessional literacy，and improve teaching effect.
