-The Transformation and Abolition of Royal Purveyance in Early Modern England

Abstract：Inthe16thand17thcenturies，the UnitedKingdomunderwentafinancialrevolutiontransitioningfromaseigneurial economytoataxstate.Duringthisperiod，theroyalpurveyanceevolvedfromreformtoabolition.IntheElizabethaneraduetothe intensificationofthefinancialcrisiscausedbyforeignwars，manycontradictionsarosefromthepurveyance，leadingtothe“purveyance crisis"ToaddressthisissuetheUKiplementedthecompositionsystemrefoforpurveyance.Althoughitimprovedeffciencand optimizedtheburdendistributiontosomeextent，itstillfcedesistanceandfailedtoachivetheexpectedesults.Subsequentlythere werecontinuousatemptstobolishtheoyalpurveyance.In656，theparliamentpassedanacttoabolishit.Thereforandabolitionof thepurveyancewereiportantpartsofthetransforationfromthefudalprvilgesystemtotemodetaxstem，andthechangeinthe financialmodelastheootcause.ThistransfoationprofoudlyimpactedtheEngland’ssocialdevelopmentbyhancigfinancial efficiency，promoting economic development，strengthening public awareness， and bolstering regime legitimacy.
