Clinical Efficacy of Gongyanping Capsule Adjuvant Therapy on Vulvovaginal Candidiasis and Its Impacts on Sleep Quality

AbstractObjective：Toinvestigatetheclinical eficacyofGongyanpingcapsuleasadjuvant treatmentof vulvovaginalcandidiasis（VVC），and to analyze its impacts on serum estradiol（ E2 ），prolactin（PRL） and sleep quality.Methods：A total of 58 patients with VVC inthehospital fromOctober 2023 to October2024 were selectedanddivided intoacontrolgroup（29 cases，routine treatment）andanobservation group（29cases，Gongyanping capsuleonthebasis ofcontrol group）acording totherandomcoin tossing method. Both groups were treated continuously for 14 days. The efficacy，and serum hormones（ ） and sleep quality [Pitsburgh SleepQualityIndex（PSQI）]beforeandaftertreatment wereobserved，andtheadverseeventsduring treatmentwere counted.Results：After14 days of treatment，the clinical eficacy of VVC patients in observation group was higher（ P<0.05） . The levels of serum hormones（ E2，PRL） ）in the two groups were lower after 14 days of treatment，and the levels were lower in observation group（ P<0.05 ）. After 14 days of treatment，the scores of dimensions and total score of PSQI of VVC patients in both groups were lower and the scores in observation group were lower than those in the control group（ P<0.05 ）. There was no statistical significance inthetotalincidencerateofadverseeventssuchasdigestivetractreaction，vaginaldryness，pruriusandpainbetween observation group and control group（ P>0.05 ）.Conclusion：Gongyanping capsule as adjuvant therapy has significant clinical efficacyonVVCpatients，anditcanreducethelevelsofserum estrogensand improve thesleepquality，nd ithasgoodsafety.
