[Abstract] Footballdemands acomposite requirement for athletes‘speedand strength qualities, which is the integratied manifestation of speed and strength in specific movements, willhave a significant impact on athletes'ofensive and defensive performance onthefield.Therefore,based onthe characteristicsoffootball,this paperconstructs theprinciples and methods of speed and strength training.Specificaly,it proposes training principles of action pattern orientation, periodic dynamic regulation,coordinated development ofspeedand strength,and prioritizing neuromuscularactivation. Additionally,itsuggests strategies likerapid expansionandcompound training,super isometrictraining,reactionspeed training,change-of-directionspeed training,and functionalstrength training.Research indicates thatscientific speed and strength training should combine with typical football movements,such as sudden stops and changes of direction, quick starts,ndialconfrontations,andutileloadrgulation,euralactivation,andmovementpateniation to promote the integrated developmentofspeedand strength,thus providing a reference for footbal players'hysical training.
