[Abstract]ObjectiveToinvestigate the efect ofacademic mentorship system in the trainingof undergraduates in stomato logy,andtocontinuouslyimprovethetrainingqualityofundergraduatesinstomatology.MethodsAcademic mentors provided personalized guidance to153undergraduate studentsfromfour grades,including academic planing,learning methods,clinicalinternship,andresearchandsocial practiceactivities.Aquestionaire survey wasconductedtoassesstheroleof theacademicmentorship system fromthe aspects oftheroleof mentors,theselection of mentors,andthe overalldegreeof satisfaction. Results The scoreofoverallsatisfaction with theacademic mentorshipsystem among undergraduate students was8.91points (totalscore: 10 points),andthescoresoftheoreticalknowledge,practicaloperation,educationalphilosophy,futureplanning,andsientificre searchthinking were3.82 points,3.8lpoints,3.76points,3.74 points,and3.67points,respectively(total score:5points).Most studentsrecognizedthepositiveroleoftheacademicmentorshipsystem.Asfortheselectionofmentors,thestudentspaidthemost attention to clinical competence (37.96% ),followedbyresearchability (26.42% )andacademic interests (26.13% ).Conclusion The academic mentorship system can improve the training quality of undergraduate students in stomatology.
