AbstractObjective：Toanalyzehowhealthshockschangethehealthbehaviorofmiddle-agedandelderlypeople，andtoquantitatively studywhethertheealthsockssuferedby'oneself'inmiddle-agedndelderlycoupleswillchangethehalthbehaviorofspouses'，so astoprovidepolicyenlightenmentforfurtherimprovingthehealthliteracyofthewholepeopleandimprovingthesystemofealthfield. Methods：Thedata aresourced fromtheChina HealthandRetirementLongitudinal Study（CHARLS），andfive wavesofpaneldatfrom 2011，2013，2O15，2O18，and 2O2O areselected.Using theexogenous shock caused by the familyhealth eventof 'I′ diagnosed heart disease in bothhusbandndifetothe'spouseasteorexplanatoryvarable，aprogresiediferenceidifereemodelasostctedto analyzetheimpactofhealthshockontehalthbehaviorofmidleagedandelderly‘spouses'.Theeventanalysismetodwasintroducedto explorethlogpctofesileoissi，ttergeitndaofstiftctestic populationswerefrtherdiscusedesults：nempicalstudybasedonthdataoftefivestageChnaHealthandReirementLogiudinal Study shows that the health shock significantly reduces the frequency of smoking and drinking among‘spouses'，and reduces the probabilityofking，easigthprobblitofeeseadutpatitmdicalsveuilio.Howeetesultsadby usingheeventaalysismethodsotateuratioofhisectissortAndtereisoloteeet.onlusios：Ineidlgd and elderly population， the 'I′ health shock could improve the health behavior of the‘spouse'significantly，but the effect is not lasting in the long run.It varied between different genders and people with or without heart disease.
