Abstract:Coalbedmethanegeologyanddevelopmentcoursesare thecorebasiccoursesofcoalandcoal-bed methane enginering,miningengineeing,petroleumengineeringandotermajors,whichplayanimpotantsupportingroleinthetraining ofmining talents.However,thecurentcurrculumtraining programtends tothe knowledgeoffuidmechanicssystem,andfails toformaninteractiveinterconectionefectwiththecontentofrockmechanics.Inordertopracticethedevelopmentconceptof "newenginering"andimprovetheteachingefectofcoal-bedmethanegeologyanddevelopmentcourses,thenecesityofindepthintegrationofcoalbedmethanegeologyanddevelopmentcourses withrock mechanicswasanalyzed,andvariousteaching reformswerecarredout,suchasstrengtheningcoursecontent,updatingexperimentalteachingandcros-disciplinarityandanew directionandpathofteachingreformofcoal-bedmethanegeologyanddevelopmentcoursesdeeplyintegratedwithrock mechanicswasalsoexploredandputforward.Thepracticeshowsthattheaboveteachingexplorationcanefectivelyenhance students‘learning interest and enhance their ability to solve practical problems.
