The Connotation and Contemporary Value of Deng Xiaoping's Theory on Opening Up

Abstract：The Communist Party of China is characterized by an open mindset，and Deng Xiaoping‘s theory on opening up isof significant guiding importance for China’s opening up under the Party‘s leadership.Interms of theoretical origins，Deng Xiaoping‘s theory onopening up represents acontinuation and innovation of the open mindset of the Chinese nation，an inheritance and development of Marxist open thought，anda fine traditionof the century-long struggle of the Communist Party of China.Regarding theoretical connotations，Deng Xiaoping‘s theory on opening up is charactenized as anopen mindset that integrates opening up with independence，internal reform，and mutual benefit，possessing dimensions，breadth，and depth.The essence of the theory，which encompassesthe persistenceof Partyleadershipasthe fundamental guarantee，thedirectionof improvement anddevelopment of the socialist system，and the focus on safeguardingthe fundamental interests of the broadest masses of the people，constitutes the soul of its contemporary value. Deng Xiaoping‘s theory on opening upservesasaguideforaction forthepracticeof openingup in China，exhibitingstrongvitality and forming the fundamental principle for writing a new chapter of high-level opening up.
