Abstract:Existingbridgesundergotime-varyingloadefectsandresistancedegradationduringservice.Thecomplexloadsanddi versefailuremodesmaketheexistingbridgesfacegreaterrisks inservice.Therefore,itisurgenttomaketime-dependentreliability assessmentfortheservicebridges.Theclassicaltime-varyingreliabilityanalysismethodismorecomplexanddificultasthenumberofrandomvariablesincreases.Inthispaper,probablitydensityevolution theoryis introducedtosolvetheaboveproblem, which is more advantageous forsolvingthereliabilityofcomplexstructures withmultiplerandomvariables.Thedynamicreliability oftheexistingbridgeinserviceabilityimitstateandultimatelimitstateisanalyzedbyconsideringthebridgeresistancedegadation andloadeffectincrease,aswellasthetimevaryingfactorssuchasshrinkageandcrepefectofconcretebridges.Theaccuracy andcomputationaleficiencyforthismethodarecomparedwiththeMonteCarlomethod,andtheeffectivenessoftheproposed method is verified.
