Based on the historical facts of the craft development of soft materials in Shanghai， such as“dyeing， embroidering， knotting and weaving”， this article reviews behavioral causality of adaptation to the environment， with economic development as main clue， characterized by integration，innovation and intelligent survival for hundreds of years.This article summarizes the logic of characteristic survival， and provides valuable references for the inheritance of contemporary arts and crafts.
