Abstract:This paper follows Lefebvre's ideas on media space theory and explores the“potentiality”and “feasibility”,as wellas the“real’and“desirable”ways in whichtheRedLive ActionRole-Playing(LARP)games shape the micro-politicalcommunication mediaspace. The study finds thattheRedLARP game providesthe“potentiality” for the productionof political media space through the“hypermedia”characteristics of the players and the binary interactionbetweentherealsocietyandthe virtualcontextin thescript.Through thetriadic dialecticofscene space, narrative space, and relationship space, itrealizes thespace as productionof political media“feasibility".In the process of the RedLARP games'gradual advancement into the mainstream vision of politicalcommunication,it constantly contends withcommunication traps suchas“evasion of politicalreality,”“shifting of standpoints and concepts,”and“eliminationofpoliticalauthority”.Amidthe“othering”controland“de-othering”effrts byvarious parties, theLARP games have graduallydeveloped intoanew typeof politicalcommunication channel thatisgetting closer to mainstream culture.
