Key to Class Upgrading： How does Digital Literacy Affect Citizens^ Class ldentity

Abstract Based on Chinese General Social Survey 2Ol7 data and Global Digital Literacy Framework，this study constructs anevaluation index system for citizens‘digital literacy，establishes anordered Probit modelforregressionanalysis，andystematically explores the impactofdigitalliteracyoncitizens‘classidentification.Theresults showthat：Digitalliteracypositivelyaectscitizens‘subjectiveclass identification;Digital literacycanenhancecitizens‘subjective class identitybyimproving thestockof socialcapitaland humancapitalandreducing thesenseofrelative deprivation. Excepformaleciizens，digitalliteracyis moreconducive toenhancingthesubjectiveclassidentityofthedigitaladvantaged groups （young and middle-aged citizens，urban citizens，and citizens with high educational atainment）， while it has limited effect onthe subjectiveclassidentityof digital disadvantaged groups，thusrevealing the inequality in the development processof digital society.Digital lteracycan reduce the risk of downward classidentity and promote the perceptionof upward classmobility，buthas no significant impactontheexpectationof classmobilityTherefore，it is urgent toactivate the path of enhancing class identity through digital literacy withacomprehensive popularizationsystem， strengthentheconnection between digitaliteracyand classidentitythrough diversifiedresourcechannels，narrowthe groupdifferences indigital iterature-driven class identitythrough differentiatedpopularization strategies andaccelerate theconstructionofaninclusive development pathof digital iteracytofacilitate digital inteligence eraofcitizensdevelopment and social progress.
