Optimization ResearchonThermal ManagementSystemforNew Energy Vehicle Batteries

Abstract:Aimingatthetemperaturecontrolrequirementsofpowerbatteriesinnewenergyvehiclesduringoperation,athermal managementsystembasedonliquidcoolingwasdesigned.Thethermalcharactersticsandtemperaturedistributionofthebattery wereanalyzedthroughacombinationoftemperaturefieldtestingandnumericalsimulation,andanumericalmodelofthethermal managementsystemwasestablished.Theresultsshowthattheoptimizedserpentinechannelstructureimprovedthetemperature uniformity of the battery pack by 23% ,with the maximum temperature difference reduced to 3.2°C .The system achieved optimal heat disipationperformancewhenthecooantflowratewas4.8L/in.Experimentalresultsdemonstratethatisliquidcolingsystemcan effectivelycontrolbatterytemperatureand extend battery life.
