Abstract:The subgrade isan essntial structural foundation in high-speedrailway engineering,and itslong-term stability directlyaffects railway transportationsafety.With continuously increasing train speedsand axle loads, cumulative setlement of subgrades under dynamic loading is becoming increasingly prominent. Consequently,it has emerged as a critical interdisciplinary research hotspot across railway enginering, geotechnical engineering, and engineering mechanics.This paper reviews domestic and international research achievements regarding cumulative setlementofsubgrades subjected to high-speed train loading.Specifically,itsummarizes recent developments in experimental investigations,theoretical analyses,and influencing factors related to cumulative setlement,highlighting the complexityand key technicalchallenges associated with long-term subgrade deformation. Moreover,the paper outlines future research directions,including examining the efcts of intermitent loading on long-term deformation,as well as investigating the particle breakage mechanism of subgrade fillmaterials and its impact on deformationbehavior.This review aims to provide theoretical support for the design and opti

mization ofhigh-speed railwayinfrastructures.
