Analysisof Medication Patterns for Treating Coughs in The Physician's Rules and Precepts ·Cough Diseases

【Abstract】Objective： To explore the medication paterns for treating cough in The Physician’s Rules and Prece ·Cough Diseases and to provide reference for the medication in clinical treatment of cough.Methods：Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform was used to conduct data mining on the prescriptions in The Physician’s Rules and Precepts·Cough Diseases. The prescriptions were subjected to data screening，standardized processing，frequency statistics ofanalysis，atribute statistics，systematic cluster analysis and complex network analysis to analyze the medication frequency，four properties，five tastes，meridians，core prescriptions of TCM prescriptions for treating cough，andsummarize the experience in treatingcough.Results：A total of 46 prescriptions were included，involving 92 kinds of herbs.The herbs with the highest usage frequency were licorice，ginger，biter almond，Schisandra，Poria，Ginseng，Pincha，etc.The medicinal properties were mainly warm and neutral，the tastes were mainly sweet and pungent，and the meridians were mainly lung and spleen meridians.Three primary clustering prescriptions were obtained through the cluster analysis as folows，（1） Poria，Asarum，dryginger，licorice and Schisandra；（2）Platycodon，mulberry bark，Rehmanniaand Paeoniae；（3）Ginseng，ginger，jujube，biteralmond，Pinellia and dried tangerine peel.And their core prescriptions were found through complex network analysis and modified as Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction.Conclusion：Inthe ThePhysician'sRules and Precepts·Cough Diseases，themedication for treating cough mainly focuses on the lungs，and meanwhile protect the midle burmer housing spleen and stomach，emphasizing to strengthen the body'sresistance to eliminate pathogenic factors，with the main therapeutic principles being to strengthen thespleen，promote lung function，eliminate phlegm，transform fluid retention，regulateqi and relieve cough.
