Abstract: Inthis paper, the microspheres in flying-ash are used as sensitizerand inert additive to prepare the low detonation velocity emulsion explosives.The detonationvelocityandthe parameters of explosive shock wave in theairof emulsion explosiveswere measured bythe probe method,the lead columncompression methodandtheair explosion method, respectively.The safetyofemulsion explosives was testedbythestorage life experiment andthermal analysis experiment.The experimentalresultsshow that thedetonationvelocity,thebrisance,thepeak pressure,thepositiveimpulseandthe positive pressureactiontime ofshock wave ofemulsion explosives increased firstandthendecreased withthe increase ofthe contentof flying-ash microspheres. When the content of flying-ash microspheres was 1 5 % , the detonation performance of emulsion explosive was the best, and when the content of flying-ash microsphereswas 45 % ,thedetonation velocity of the explosive decreasedobviously.Meanwhile, the detonationvelocityranged from2191to 2 3 1 2 m / s ,which can satisfythe condition of using explosiveforexplosive welding.In adition, it is found thatthedetonation performanceofemulsion explosives with

flying-ash microspheres was higher than those of flying-ash microspheres with and .The storage lifeandtermalanalysisresults indicatethatthe storage lifeoflowdetonationvelocityemulsionexplosives with flying-ash microspheres issignificantly beter than thatoftraditional low detonation velocity emulsion explosive with clay particles,the activation energy of thermal decomposition of the emulsion explosive with 1 5 % flying-ash microsphereswas only 0 . 3 % higher than that ofemulsion matrix.Theresultsalsoshowthattheadditionofflying-ash microspheres has noobvious effectonthe thermal stabilityofthe emulsion matrix.The research results have important reference value for gren resource disposal of coal-based solid waste and formulation design of the low detonation velocity emulsion explosive.
