A Study of the Trinity Translator Behavior in the English Translations of Mao Zedong's Xi Jiang Yue： Mount Jinggang

Abstract： Mao Zedong's ci-poem Xi Jiang Yue： Mount Jinggang is lofty in meaning and majestic in narration. The battle described in this poem， namely， the Defense Battle of Huangyangjie， a typical David-and-Goliath war case， is of profound historical， military， political and academic value. Guided by the Translator Behavior Criticism， this article delves into the behavioralcharacteristics of translators from three different countries through the framework of the “text-behavior-society" trinity.By comparing their different translations of Mao Zedong's Xi Jiang Yue： Mount Jinggang， this study could highlight Mao Zedong' s image as a poet， help promote the quality of translations of Mao Zedong's poems， demonstrate the cultural confidence and aid to achieve mutual learning between civilizations.
