Abstract：Prunes have manycultivarsand strong adaptability，andhave been introduced and planted in various regios of China.Inrecent years，large-scale introductionof prunes insouthern Xinjiang hasled totheestablishmentof prunedemonstrationbases，promotingthedevelopmentofthefruitindustryintheregion.Giventhedistinctclimaticdifferencesbetweenouth ernand northern Xinjiang，theintroductionofprunes innorthern Xinjiangfacesuniquechallenges.Toassstheclimaticadaptabilityofprunes innorthern Xinjiang，theclimaticcharacteristicsofnorthern Xinjiang，theregionaldistributionofprunes， the challenges facedin pruneintroduction were analyzedandtheimprovement measures were proposed.The aimis to providea theoretical basis and practical guidance for the introduction of prunes in northern Xinjiang.
