Tatsuzo Shimaoka is one of the representative ceramists inthe modern Japanese Folk Art Movement. Jomon mosaicceramic decorative art language， originated by himself， baseson materials and techniques of Mashiko Pottery， and blendsJomon decoration of ancient Japanese pottery with ceramicmosaic decoration techniques of Joseon Dynasty.
