Abstract：Inthefieldofagricultural production，the trenching effectof trenchers playsacrucialroleincropgrowth.To address theresearch gap in evaluating trenchingefectiveness，this study developed a MATLAB-based system for quantitative assessment.Initialy，asoil modelwas established inEDEMsoftware using measured soil parameters toconduct simulatedtrenching experiments.Subsequently，animage-drivenevaluationsystem wasdesigned byanalyzingexperimental images.Finally，thesystemquantitativelyassssedtrenchingperformance through threemetrics：soildisturbance，furrow profilefiting acuracy，andsoil wedge failureanalysis.Theresultsdemonstratethat this evaluationsystemachieves precise quantification of trenching effectiveness.
